A Remedy as Old as the Hills

Extracted in an Ecologically Responsible Manner
The clay that it contains in phenomenal quantities is extracted using a method known as "without trace" which consists of putting back the thick layer of peat bog that protects it after harvesting. The company that operates the deposit, AEM Lab, is a model of environmental responsibility. For example, the company bears the seal of the Manicouagan-Uapishka World Biosphere Reserve granted by UNESCO. Another convincing demonstration of respect for the environment is the fact that the machinery used in the extraction of the mud is lubricated with vegetable grease instead of synthetic hydraulic oil.
