International Women's Day
As part of International Women's Day, we wanted to mobilize for a cause that is dear to us. Idoine is a company operated exclusively by women, and its mission is to go further than selling products. In many ways, we try to have a positive impact on our environment and our society. So, on March 8, we wanted to share with you the mission of Le Chaînon, an organization with which we are partners. As part of this partnership, we align ourselves with the common values that Le Chaînon and Idoine have, such as respect and solidarity, in order to promote well-being in society. If you've never heard of Le Chaînon, it's an organization that helps women in difficulty. The services offered include accommodation of varying lengths of time, and a listening service. Several difficulties can motivate a woman to use the services of Le Chaînon, including problems of dependency, discrimination, homelessness, violence or financial insecurity. Let us point out that it is rare for one of these problems to arise alone. Often, women in difficulty live at the intersection of several, making their recovery more difficult, which is why support resources are essential.
In honor of this day which mobilizes solidarity, but which also reminds us of the suffering in which too many women unfortunately live, we wanted to emphasize the extent to which the services offered by Le Chaînon are essential, particularly for the advancement women's rights. However, since the pandemic, many of the organization's services have been slowed down, while demand, particularly in cases of domestic violence, is increasing in Quebec. Today, it is more essential than ever to contribute to the well-being of women, including users of the Chaînon. Here is how you can get involved within the organization, to achieve a fairer and more caring society for all:
- Make a monetary donation
- Offer your services as a volunteer
- Donate products for resale, or make purchases at the Chaînon store
- Throughout the month of March, buy an Idoine hand and foot cream
* Among Idoine's initiatives to promote Le Chaînon's services, we are committed to ensuring that for each container of Idoine hand and foot cream sold during the month of March, one container will be given to a woman using Le Chaînon's services.
