On this International Women's Day, I'm taking a moment to reflect.
I am a privileged woman.
I live in Quebec.
I run my own business.
I can make decisions, sign contracts, create, express myself freely.
And I am also a mother.
When I look at my child, I often think about the future I want to leave them. A world where equality is not a constant struggle. A world where women's rights are not fragile or negotiable.
My entrepreneurial journey hasn't always been easy. Starting and growing a business as a woman and a mother requires energy, resilience, and a lot of conviction. But I had access to education, funding, a network, and a safe environment. These are immense privileges.
Around the world, women are still fighting for fundamental rights: access to education, the freedom to work, control over their own bodies, and a life free from violence.
At Idoine, women are at the heart of our DNA.
Our skincare is designed by and for them. But beyond the products, we want to contribute to something bigger: supporting causes that promote autonomy, encouraging economic independence, and creating a real impact.
Being privileged, for me, means having a responsibility.
The responsibility to use my voice.
The responsibility to build a company that gives back.
The responsibility to participate, in my own way, in a more equitable world.
Women's rights are never definitively acquired.
They must be protected. They must be defended. They must be passed on.
And for our daughters and our sons, the work continues.
